A’Design Award & Competition is a paid award competition that can help you gain international visibility and credibility for your products. Over the years, numerous designers from Ornamo have won prizes in various categories of the A’Design Award and have also contributed to the jury of the competition.

The registration portal for the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 is now open!

The 72nd iF DESIGN AWARD is kicking off its new season with renewed disciplines and 93 categories. The reduced Early Bird rate is valid until 27 June, saving you up to EUR 200 per submission. Detailed information on the entries can be added until 5 November!

The DIA recognizes, honors and celebrates the achievements of designers who excel in various fields. The competition is open to anyone in the design industry, no matter what their background or discipline.

Hakoniemi Residency – Continuous open call for 2025

Founded in 2019 in Oravisalo, Rääkkylä, Hakoniemi residence is a peaceful and inspiring working environment, located and inspired by the beautiful lake-side nature of Northern Saimaa archipelago.

The residence is suitable for artists, musicians, writers, artisans, designers, researchers and architects among others.

Apply now for 2025 residency periods:
Spring: January 6th – June 15th

Autumn: September 1st – December 21st

Duration of the residency period 1 week – 3 months.

Skogshyddan Residence – Continuous Open call for 2025

A relaxed working residence by the sea between Tammisaari and Hanko, in the village of Skogby. A peaceful setting for artists, researchers and creative practitioners and working groups. Work periods in residence can range from one week to three months and the residency includes accommodation and free use of the garden.
