How craft artist and designers are responding to these challenges? How the craft, its methods, aesthetics and forms are changing when digitalization is getting more common, when new materials and methods are entering into this field, when new understanding of tactile experiences are included into craft field?

The exhibition Visioning Future through Craft and Design reflects on these issues through different genres of contemporary crafts, design and its mixtures. Finnish exhibition is ongoing in Cheongju International Craft Biennale, South-Korea 13.9. – 22.10.2017.

Exhibition exposes Finnish craft artists’ and designers’ way to give statements, offer experiences, experiment and create dialogues with audience through their work.

The exhibition highlights Finnish way of renewing everyday aesthetics through unexceptional and courage way of imaging the future through craft and design. It highlights how these skillful people are constructing the future through their work.

The exhibition has been constructed in collaboration with Finnish Designers’ Association Ornamo and Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture.
