As Service Design Trainee it is your role to develop product and service concepts to be as customer-oriented as possible. You will ensure prime quality and seamless customer experience in various channels. Customer is most definitely your main focus and you work actively in order to involve our customers in product and service development. You will collect and analyze customer experiences and views in order to create new service models.
One important aspect in this role is to encourage design thinking in OP Group. You will collaborate actively in your stakeholder network and participate in different design sprints and workshops producing services and innovations for the whole group. As our Service Design trainee you will have a big part in deciding the focus and elements of your role. Depending on your skills, interests and previous experience, you might get to be in charge of individual projects as well.

Our team, along with two other teams, is part of Design and Customer Experience unit. We work extremely close with other teams in the unit. You will get to work with enthusiastic and curious colleagues in roles such as Service Designers, UX Designers and Business Designers. What we are looking for
We welcome service design students who already have some experience in design methods through school projects or work experience. You are familiar with the tools and processes in service design and know how to engage customers in the development. This is a “hands on” job so we expect you to roll up your sleeves share your ideas and work actively in order to make things happen.
You are excited, flexible, innovative and network naturally with different stakeholders. You enjoy teamwork but are also able to take charge of your own work and find the ways to the best solutions.
As you might already know, in OP we communicate in Finnish. However, for this role we are excited to welcome also other than fluent Finnish speakers to our organization as long as you are fluent in English and have no problem engaging in conversations, we are certain you’ll get the most out of this trainee experience.
