Senior UX Designer / Finnair
We are looking for a
Senior UX Designer, Maternity leave cover to join Finnair’s Design team to work with our digital channels.
Your main responsibility area will be Finnair’s award-winning In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity services, but you will also be working in close collaboration with other digital channel teams, as well as our design system.
Finnair’s Design Team is part of our Customer Engagement unit. We operate Finnair’s digital platforms and our digital customer experience and want to continue to grow Finnair.com as Finland’s biggest eCommerce site. We design and bring to life Finnair.com, Finnair mobile app, and our In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity services.

As a Senior UX Designer, your responsibility is to bring our digital products to life through beautiful and relevant experiences. We expect you to have a track record for creating impactful digital services and products that impact users and businesses.
Your main responsibilities:
- Working on all phases of the design process – from discovery to delivery work, transforming early state initiatives into prototypes and pixel-perfect visuals for development and testing, as well as continuously improving our existing experiences by iterative design work
- Producing stunningly visual and high-quality design work for different channels and devices
- Creation of consistent user experience across digital products
- Collaborating with various stakeholders and vendors, as well as close collaboration with our other digital product teams at Finnair
- Identifying user-centric improvement areas through design research and validation methods
- Working together with all our Designers in ensuring holistic experience across channels
- Contributing to our design system and continuous improvement of our ways of working
Our expectations:
- 6+ years’ experience in UX / UI or Product Design Background in user-centric design & creation of impactful digital services
- Strong visual understanding and capabilities & attention to detail Experience working with design systems.
- Skilled in design research, testing and validation methods.
- Solid experience with relevant design tools and collaboration tools, such as Figma
- Good understanding of agile/lean development best practices Fluent in written and spoken English Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Master’s degree or equivalent preferred
- In addition, we highly appreciate a proactive working style, great collaboration skills and a can-do attitude as a team player.

We are located in Finnair’s headquarters at Vantaa, Finland, but we have flexible remote working practices allowing you to decide how you can work most effectively.
Additional information: This position is a temporary maternity leave cover continuing until July 2024, with possible extension.
