We are looking for a service-oriented and experienced ICT professional to join us in Group ICT, Solution Development function as a
SOLUTION DESIGNER, MANUFACTURING EXCECUTION SYSTEM (MES)
Solution Designer is responsible for capturing and coordinating development needs as well as for their execution with internal stakeholders and external partners, either individually or as part of a project team. This position is located in Metsä Group Head Office in Espoo or Tampere office.
Your main responsibilities include
- Support business process design and development by providing the ICT related view, knowledge and skills.
- Design, specify, test and implement new functionalities and changes to the applications in MES and Mill systems together with our vendors.
- Manage and/or participate in agreed implementation projects, and lead project definition workshops with business and vendor team members.
- Identify improvement opportunities within own area by understanding business processes and industry requirements, standards, and best practices.
- Create and maintain the solution documentation together with business, vendors, and other ICT teams and ensure that the documentation corresponds the existing business processes.
- 3rd tier application support for complicated incidents.
In order to succeed
We are looking for a service minded team player with positive attitude, good communication and cooperation skills. You already have several years’ experience of production processes or manufacturing execution systems in industry, either in business or in ICT role. Most importantly you are action and development oriented and you have result focused approach.
In addition, we hope you have:
- Competence in IT solution design, development and implementation, especially in MES area.
- Knowledge and experience in mill automation systems (e.g. Valmet, Siemens) and IIoT. Experience in SAP systems (e.g. SCM, PM, PP) is considered as an asset.
- Vendor Management skills in multivendor and international environment.
- Fluent Finnish and English language in written and spoken.
- M.Sc. / B.Sc. in relevant field.
- Readiness for occasional travelling.
