Testing Designer / Landis+Gyr

Landis+Gyr EMEA R&D is looking for Testing Designer to join the Solution Integration Testing (SIT) team in Finland. You will develop and maintain various types of automated and manual tests, test environments and test assets, including system software, embedded software, hardware, comms solutions and related processes. You ensure that software applications and system software meet the technical and functional requirements, and work with development teams to resolve possible software defects and diagnosing/improving product configuration for current and future modules. Your expertise is also needed in performing workflow analysis, documenting test results, and recommending quality improvements.

Together with your colleagues you collaborate very tightly with software, hardware, and embedded software quality assurance and development teams for maximum operational efficiency. The main objective is to ensure compatibility and quality for system software, hardware, and embedded software products and the overall end2end solution offering.

We expect you already have some experience in testing involving software/embedded SW testing and validation. Experience in hardware testing is an asset. You understand product and solution test methodologies, best test practices and have implemented testing related processes, metrics and KPI’s. It is also beneficial if you are familiar with Robot Framework and Python scripting. Experience and knowledge with servers, databases, Jenkins, Docker and version control is appreciated. In addition, your analytical skills help in investigating problems encountered in testing.

As you will collaborate closely with colleagues from various sites and functions, it is important that you communicate fluently in English – other languages are an asset.
