How can you communicate your innovation to a machine? We are looking for a senior-level designer to take our patent search platform to new levels. At IPRally, we help our customers – from corporations to universities and public patent offices – to find, analyse and categorise patent data. For the individual patent professional, IPRally is the least painful way to search for information. On a company level, this means saved money and better informed decisions. For society, we are slowly working towards a more sane and efficient IPR system.
IPRally is already used by the likes of ABB, NVIDIA and Dolby and by the Finnish, Swedish and Danish patent offices. We are growing quickly but are still in the beginning of the journey with a global team of 30 people and two offices located in Helsinki and Stockholm. Our technology is based on a unique knowledge graph concept and deep learning. The approach was chosen to solve technology understanding – in essence, to model the human knowledge. For this to be useful, UI is as critical as the AI.
As part of our product development team, you will design new features for the platform. Usability and value for the customer comes first. You will work close to the customers and learn to understand their needs. You will need the ability to see the big picture, but also to focus on the smallest details when needed. You should also be able to provide both some elegance and fun to the product. We currently don’t have a UX or UI designer in the team, so there is an opportunity for major impact. Our current UI is appreciated by our customers, but the complexity of the product is growing and we aim for a higher UX experience than just being slightly better than the alternatives.
Requirements
- Experience designing user interfaces for web-based solutions
