UX/UI Designer / Tieteen tietotekniikan keskus

We are looking for an empathetic, collaborative and efficient UX/UI Designer to join CSC’s growing UX team. With your work, you facilitate the everyday life of researchers, students and teachers by designing intuitive and delightful, easy-to-use user interfaces, by listening to the needs of the users. You will work in an inspiring team doing valuable and meaningful work, boosting the digitalization of research and education.

As UX/UI Designer you ensure in collaboration with the rest of the team, that the needs of our users are taken into account from the beginning. You will create and develop concepts, investigate user needs and support the technical implementation. In this task, it is valuable to understand the big picture of the service ecosystem, but also to ensure the details that influence the quality of the user experience.

This position includes:

-development of UI and UX of both new and existing services
-creating wireframes, user journeys and digital prototypes, and validating them with the users
-the visual design of UIs
-creating components for CSC’s design system, and developing the system itself
-developing the design capabilities and skills at CSC, in collaboration with other UX team members

You might be the professional we are looking for if you have:

-suitable educational background
-more than three years experience of developing digital services
-you understand the basics of front-end development and collaborate easily with the developers
-strong visual design skills
-fluent professional English

We consider it an asset if the applicant has previous experience in developing design systems and accessibility. Finnish language proficiency is not mandatory but is considered as an asset.
