Ornamo Suomi 100

In 2017, Ornamo will be joining the celebrations marking Finland’s centenary of independence. The theme of the celebrations is “Together”. Enter and Encounter

Design Museum, Korkeavuorenkatu 23, Helsinki

To mark Finland’s centenary of independence, Ornamo is joining forces with the Design Museum to organise a jubilee exhibition that will explore the current status of Finnish design. The Enter and Encounter exhibition will showcase post-2012 World Design Capital year design with an optimistic outlook, and explores the ways in which Finnish design is challenging the status quo and helping to shape Finland’s future?

As part of the exhibition and the wider centenary year programme, Ornamo will be organising discussion events on the role and future of design amidst deep-rooted structural change. During the exhibition run, we will also be presenting the annual Ornamo Prize, worth EUR 5,000. It will be presented to three of the most relevant design sector professionals practising in Finland today.

The Enter and Encounter exhibition forms part of the national Finland 100 programme.
