Teolliset Muotoilijat TKO (Industrial designers) is an interest group at Ornamo. TKO is producing professional projects together with different stakeholders and promoting visibility and networking.

MUOTi (Fashion) interest group is a meeting forum for Ornamo’s members interested in fashion. The group meetings are open to everyone, regardless of their professional title, including experts outside Ornamo, unless agreed.

The Finnish Association of Interior Architects SIO is a professional association established in 1949. It disseminates information on the diverse professional skills of interior architects. Our goals are to improve the quality of the built environment and to promote cultural and ethical values as well as sustainable development. Our members have either a Master of Arts degree or a higher degree in design from a university of applied sciences. A qualified interior architect is denoted with the letters SIO placed after the professional designation. SIO has almost 780 members.

TEXO is a professional expert organization for textile artists and textile designers established in 1956. It serves as a link between its members and the domestic textile industry as well as international designers’ networks. TEXO is a member organization in Ornamo Art and Design Finland, where it has its own representatives in chambers, commissions and working groups. Together with Ornamo and with its other member organizations TEXO tends to support the goals of Finnish State art policy.

MEMBERSHIPS

Membership criteria:
a) a Master’s degree in the textile related field or
b) a university degree and has worked in professional duties in the field for at least two years after graduation, and whose application includes a CV presenting the professional activities extensively and a portfolio or website or
c) has worked in professional duties in the textile field for at least six years and has demonstrated his/hers professional qualifications, and whose application includes a CV presenting the professional activities extensively and a portfolio or website.

Artists O ry is a professional and national artists’ organisation for visual artists in the field of applied arts, founded in 2006. Visual artists who use material-based expression in their works and whose art uses the traditions of applied arts as concrete or conceptual starting points can be accepted as members of Artists O ry. Currently, the association has 150 members. The purpose of the organisation is to promote and develop contemporary art in the fields of applied arts and to strengthen its position in the diverse field of art. Membership in Artists O requires Ornamo membership.
