Design Forerunner
This award highlights a designer or artist who leads the way in responsibility and sustainable development. Candidates must be members of Ornamo.
Selection emphasizes:
- Groundbreaking and impactful actions that advance responsibility
- Concrete results in the development of materials, processes, or services
- Innovative design thinking that opens new possibilities in society, organisations, or ecosystems
Design Utilizer
This award is granted to an organisation that uses design strategically and boldly in business or in creating societal impact. Selection emphasizes:
- Strategic and impactful use of design
- Sustainability from economic, social, or environmental perspectives
- Innovativeness reflected in products, services, spaces, or operating models
Submit your nomination by April 19, 2026.
Prizes:
- Design Forerunner: €2,500 cash prize
- Design Utilizer: the Ornamo Sphere designed by Timo Sarpaneva
