Reetta Hiltunen: New opportunities for Christmas sales!

Reetta Hiltunen, member of Ornamo’s board, emphasizes the creative potential of the members and encourages everyone to participate in the new Finnish Designers Pop Up event.

There is tremendous potential within Ornamo’s membership in terms of design and artistic expertise. Now serving my second term as a board member, I consider it a key goal to support, utilize, and make members’ skills and creative output more visible to a wider audience. What unites Ornamo’s professionals is a strong motivation to work responsibly, invest in quality, and pursue sustainable outcomes.

One of the most important member services supporting creative work is our events. This year, new Finnish Designers Pop Up concept will gather members own Christmas sales events. It could take the form of open studios or collective studio sales. The new concept allows for nationwide participation, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to operate directly from one’s own space. Ornamo will support the events through marketing and by providing visibility across its communication channels. Last day to apply is 25th October.

Events in various personal work and store spaces offer customers a unique opportunity to spend quality time with Finnish design, make individual purchases and take a peek into the creative spaces where products are created. I have participated in Ornamo events for several years and will do so again this year. I look forward to seeing what our creative community organizes around the new event concept.
