Sustainability training programme for design companies & designers in 2026

Strengthen your sustainability expertise together with industry professionals and expand your network! Throughout 2026, we will offer workshops, training sessions, and events that support sustainable design and responsible business practices. You will gain practical tools to develop the sustainability of your business or to strengthen your own expertise in sustainability within your organisation.

At the same time, you will have the opportunity to explore international trends, future skills, and insights from leading experts, while building valuable professional connections. You will learn how to apply new perspectives and practical tools directly to your own work and to the development of your business or organisation.

Learn and grow with experts and the design community

We collaborate extensively with Finnish and international companies, experts, and organisations to support sustainable design and responsible business development. Topics range from building sustainable business models and understanding the environmental impacts of materials to sales, sustainability communication, and reporting.

Throughout the year, our training sessions and workshops will cover topics such as:

  • Sustainable business strategies for design companies
  • Responsible use and circularity of materials
  • Assessing the environmental impacts of products and services
  • Selling sustainability
  • Managing changes in the business environment

Participants will gain practical skills and insights to become pioneers of sustainable design, develop responsible business models and services, and benefit from networking, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices.

Join the training programme

The workshops, events, and training sessions organised throughout the year are designed to complement and support one another. We encourage participants to attend as many sessions as possible to maximise learning and networking opportunities.

Participants who actively engage in the programme will receive a certificate of participation.

Can I participate, too?

The Sustainable Design Entrepreneurship Network offers design professionals, entrepreneurs, and employees working in the design sector an opportunity to deepen their understanding of sustainability and its practical application in design.

Develop future-oriented skills that you can apply directly in your professional work, organisation, or business. Learn alongside experts and peers, gain new perspectives, and strengthen your ability to create sustainable impact through design.

We encourage participants to take part in as many sessions as possible. Those who actively participate in the programme will receive a certificate of participation.

Abou the project

KESY Sustainable Design Entrepreneurship Network: The project develops a model for a unique multidisciplinary R&D network that does not yet exist in the design industry. The KESY Design Network is a collaboration network between small and medium-sized design businesses and researchers, sharing information on current laws, regulations, and responsible design practices affecting the design industry. Through collaboration, the network applies knowledge and focuses on key sustainability goals that design businesses must consider in their work. The network supports design businesses in developing their responsible business practices and thereby improving their business conditions.
